A blessing of motorcycles and helmets, coupled with a road safety advocacy, was held at the San Roque Chapel inside the Subic Bay Freeport Zone on April 18.

The activity was organized by the Subic Bay Metropolitan Authority (SBMA) and the Sanctuario de San Roque, with around 30 riders participating in a Holy Mass officiated by Chaplain Fr. Noel Montes.

A road safety seminar followed, led by the Land Transportation Office (LTO) and the Rotary Club of Metro Olongapo, which also supported the blessing activity.

Organizers said the initiative was inspired by a similar “Blessing of the Helmets” tradition observed in Portugal, with plans to make it a regular event at the chapel.
