More than 400 residents of Barangay Sta. Rita in Olongapo City received free healthcare services during a two-day medical, dental, and surgical mission led by Aboitiz Renewables and the Olongapo Solar Power Plant on April 25 and 26, 2026.
Aboitiz Renewables, Inc., the renewable energy arm of Aboitiz Power Corporation (AboitizPower), partnered with the Police Regional Office 3 (PRO-3), the Olongapo City Police Office (OCPO), and local volunteer groups to bring essential health services directly to the community.

The initiative was supported by a team of doctors, nurses, and volunteers from Barangay Gordon Heights and the Barangay Public Assistance and Traffic Services (BPATS) of Sta. Rita, who helped facilitate logistics and mobilization.
The first day featured “I Am Ready: Operation Tuli 2026,” where 138 young boys safely underwent circumcision procedures. On the second day, the “Para sa Malusog na Olongapo: Medical and Dental Mission” provided medical consultations to 108 residents and dental services to 160 individuals.
By delivering healthcare services within the barangay, the organizers helped residents overcome financial and logistical barriers to accessing basic medical care.
For 70-year-old retiree Osmeña Moises, the program served as a vital source of support. Without a pension, she relies on medical missions for her healthcare needs, including maintenance medication. She expressed gratitude that such services are made available within their community, eliminating the need to travel to hospitals or clinics.
Sharron Manzano, Stakeholder Relations and Permitting Manager of Aboitiz Renewables, said the initiative reflects the company’s continued commitment to the well-being of its host communities.
She emphasized that providing accessible healthcare is part of their partnership with Barangay Sta. Rita, ensuring that the company’s presence delivers tangible benefits to local families. She added that more community-focused initiatives are expected in the future.
Aboitiz Renewables and the Olongapo Solar Power Plant continue to promote operational resilience and shared value, with programs such as the health mission contributing to improved wellness and development in their host communities.
