Mabalacat City Mayor Geld Aquino has directed the City Engineer’s Office to intensify inspections of all construction sites in the city to ensure safety and strict compliance with regulations.

The announcement was made during the flag-raising ceremony on Monday, May 25, 2026, which the mayor led together with Councilors Ike Morales, Benny Jocson, Noel Castro, and Patricia Acorda, marking the start of another week of public service for Mabalaqueños.

Mayor Aquino said the move aims to strengthen monitoring of ongoing developments, as he underscored the importance of safety standards in all infrastructure projects. He also reported that the city government immediately dispatched responders to assist in ongoing rescue operations in an affected area.

During the ceremony, the city also honored outstanding graduates of Mabalacat City College who recently ranked among the top performers in the Licensure Examination for Teachers (LET). Joda Mae D. Regala placed Top 3 with a 94.40% rating, while Eleina Jo Cuarte Cera ranked Top 5 with 93.80%.

The flag ceremony, led by the City Agriculture Office headed by Engr. Remedios Magtubo-Donato, was attended by department heads, government employees, PNP, BFP personnel, and barangay captains.
