A total of 1,644 dialysis patients from Pampanga’s 2nd District received ₱4,000 cash assistance each from the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) during an aid distribution at the Lubao Gym.

The assistance was sought by Pampanga Gov. Lilia “Nanay” Pineda from the DSWD to help dialysis patients cope with treatment expenses and other medical needs.

Each beneficiary also received maintenance medicines, including ketoanalogue, based on their medical requirements.

Pineda personally checked on the beneficiaries during the distribution, accompanied by Lubao Mayor Esmie Pineda and Board Members Fritzie David-Dizon and Sajid Eusoof.

The provincial government said it continues to coordinate with national government agencies to secure additional funding and support for dialysis patients and help ease the financial burden of their continuing treatment.
