Cebu Pacific (CEB) mobilized employees across its group network for the nationwide launch of Brigada Eskwela 2026, strengthening its commitment to education and community development.
Volunteers from Cebu Pacific, ground handling provider 1Aviation, and aircraft maintenance firm Aviation Partnership (Philippines) Corporation (Aplus) joined efforts to help prepare public schools for the opening of classes.
As part of the initiative, the airline adopted three Last Mile Schools identified by the Department of Education (DepEd): Balakilong Integrated School in Batangas, Cadulawan Elementary School in Cebu, and Cogon Elementary School in Davao del Norte. The schools are located in geographically isolated and underserved communities.
In addition to volunteer work, Cebu Pacific provided classroom cleaning and painting supplies, science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) learning packages, and financial assistance generated through employee contributions.
According to Cebu Pacific Chief Human Resources Officer Felix Lopez, the program reflects the airline’s commitment to helping create better learning environments and supporting students in underserved areas.
The initiative forms part of Juan Community, a broader program of the Gokongwei Group led by the Gokongwei Brothers Foundation that supports education initiatives across the country.
Cebu Pacific said it plans to continue supporting the three adopted schools while exploring opportunities to expand assistance to more Last Mile Schools nationwide.
The carrier currently operates flights to 35 domestic and 26 international destinations across Asia, Australia, and the Middle East, while continuing its community outreach efforts through programs focused on education and youth development.
