BCDA gives aid to Sarangani

One thousand families in Sarangani Province received humanitarian assistance from the Bases Conversion and Development Authority (BCDA) as they continue to recover from the devastating 7.8-magnitude earthquake.

Gov. Rogelio “Ruel” D. Pacquiao accepted the donation on behalf of Sarangani residents and thanked the BCDA for providing much-needed assistance, particularly to families still staying in evacuation centers.

The relief packages included 20-liter containers of drinking water, blankets, mosquito nets, and coloring materials to support the well-being of affected children.

Representing the BCDA, Vice President for Public Affairs Leilani Macasaet emphasized the importance of compassion in rebuilding communities.

“Sa panahon ng sakuna, ang pinakamahalagang paalala ay hindi kayo nag-iisa. Nawa’y makatulong kami habang unti-unti ninyong naibabalik ang normal na takbo ng inyong pang-araw-araw na buhay,” Macasaet said.

The BCDA’s “Tabang at Kalinga” CSR Relief Initiative supports the Marcos administration’s whole-of-government approach in providing timely assistance to communities affected by the earthquake and succeeding typhoons.
