476 Mabalacat farmers get financial aid under DA program

A total of 476 farmers from various barangays in Mabalacat City received financial assistance under the Presidential Assistance for Farmers, Fisherfolk and Families (PAFFF) program of the Department of Agriculture.

The distribution was led by Mayor Geld Aquino, who expressed gratitude to the national government for its continued support to the agricultural sector. He emphasized that such programs help sustain farmers’ livelihoods and boost local agricultural production.

Aquino also highlighted the city government’s ongoing initiatives for farmers, including the recent distribution of knapsack sprayers and the establishment of a solar-powered irrigation system aimed at increasing crop yields and reducing farming costs.

Joining the assistance distribution were Vice Mayor Marcos “Jun” Castro Jr., Councilors Patricia Acorda and Benny Jocson, and City Agriculture Office Head Engr. Rem Magtubo Donato.

According to the Department of Agriculture, the PAFFF program aims to provide immediate assistance to farmers and strengthen the country’s agricultural sector.
