Angeles City passes 2025 Good Financial Housekeeping standards

The City Government of Angeles, under the leadership of Mayor Carmelo “Jon” Lazatin II, has been recognized anew for its commitment to transparency and sound fiscal management after being included among the Department of the Interior and Local Government’s (DILG) 2025 Good Financial Housekeeping (GFH) Passers in Central Luzon.

Based on the DILG’s summary report released on March 9, 2026, Angeles City successfully met the requirements for the Good Financial Housekeeping recognition, which is awarded to local government units that comply with accounting and auditing standards while demonstrating transparency and accountability in the management of public funds.

The recognition highlights the city government’s continued efforts to ensure that public resources are managed responsibly and efficiently to support programs, projects, and services that directly benefit Angeleños.

It also underscores Angeles City’s dedication to maintaining sound financial practices and strengthening public trust through transparent governance and responsible stewardship of government funds.

City officials said the recognition reflects the collective efforts of the local government in upholding high standards of public service and fiscal responsibility.
