With grief and gratitude, the family of the late MVP Rene Clert “Bobet” N. Baterbonia expressed appreciation to all those who extended support and condolences during their time of mourning.

Speaking during the wake at the Municipal Gymnasium in Talacogon, Agusan del Sur, Mrs. Rovelyn Baterbonia, the athlete’s mother, thanked relatives, friends, teammates, supporters, government officials, and members of the community for their prayers, visits, and messages of sympathy, which she said brought comfort and strength to their family.

Emotions also ran high as hundreds joined the funeral convoy en route to Barangay Labnig Memorial Cemetery, accompanying the young athlete on his final journey. Family, friends, and supporters lined the route, offering prayers and tributes to honor his memory.

Baterbonia, remembered as a promising athlete and respected teammate, was hailed by the community as a symbol of faith, humility, and excellence whose legacy continues to inspire Agsurnons.
