PHLPost honors Goyo del Pilar with commemorative stamp

The Philippine Postal Corporation (PHLPost) has launched a commemorative stamp and envelope to mark the 150th birth anniversary of General Gregorio “Goyo” del Pilar, one of the youngest heroes of the Philippine Revolution.

The launch coincided with the 128th anniversary of Bulacan’s liberation from Spanish rule, commemorating Del Pilar’s role in leading the historic victory on June 24, 1898.

Postmaster General Maximo Santa Maria III said the commemorative stamp aims to preserve Del Pilar’s legacy and inspire Filipinos, particularly the youth, by highlighting his courage, leadership, and patriotism.

PHLPost said the stamp also serves as an educational tool to promote Philippine history and honor the contributions of national heroes to the country’s freedom.

The Provincial Government of Bulacan also introduced the PASS-yal Bayani Bulacan Pamana Pass, a heritage tourism initiative featuring historical sites connected to Del Pilar’s life and heroism.

The commemorative stamps and envelopes are now available at PHLPost offices nationwide.
