The reigning PVL On Tour champions PLDT High Speed Hitters are taking a breather before launching their 2026 preseason campaign, following a bronze finish in the PVL All-Filipino Conference.
After a physically demanding season, the team emphasized recovery and mental reset, with players and coaching staff focusing on rest, family time, and personal hobbies ahead of their return to competition.
Head coach Rald Ricafort said the break was essential for balance, as the team prepares to regain momentum for upcoming exhibition matches across the country.
PLDT also welcomes new additions to its lineup, including opposite spiker Jessa Ordiales, rookie setter Fianne Ariola, former UP captain Joan Monares, and former Galeries Tower player Winnie Bedaña, adding depth and energy to the squad.
They join a core of veteran leaders as PLDT aims to defend its strong showing in the PVL On Tour, signaling a more competitive preseason ahead for the High Speed Hitters.
