DTI-3 equips Central Luzon women entrepreneurs with AI, digital skills

More than 100 women entrepreneurs from across Central Luzon strengthened their digital capabilities during the 2026 Women Entrepreneurs Summit organized by the Department of Trade and Industry Region 3 (DTI-3).

Carrying the theme “Empowering Women Through AI, Digitalization, and Logistics Innovation,” the summit provided practical training on artificial intelligence, digital transformation, logistics innovation, and business financing to help women-led micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) become more competitive and resilient.

DTI Regional Director Edna D. Dizon reaffirmed the agency’s commitment to supporting women entrepreneurs through training, mentoring, and business development programs, while DTI Undersecretary Blesila A. Lantayona emphasized the government’s continued push for women’s economic empowerment under the Magna Carta of Women.

Industry experts from PLDT and Smart Communications, Grab North Luzon, Small Business Corporation (SB Corp), and City Savings Bank shared insights on digital tools, artificial intelligence, cybersecurity, logistics solutions, and financing opportunities for MSMEs.

The summit also featured a panel discussion with business leaders Aileen Uy-Chan, president of 1st Megasaver, and Coleen Beatriz Granda, president of the Young Entrepreneurs Program (YEP) Pampanga, who shared their entrepreneurial journeys and strategies for sustainable business growth.

The event concluded with networking activities, a mini trade fair, and an open forum, giving participants valuable opportunities to exchange ideas and strengthen their businesses in the digital economy.
