Actress and television host Kim Chiu remains firm in pursuing a criminal complaint against her sister, Lakambini, according to Star Magic.

The ABS-CBN talent management arm issued the clarification after a 2023 interview of Chiu resurfaced and circulated online.

Star Magic said Chiu’s statements in the interview were truthful and reflected the circumstances at that time but no longer represented the current situation. It added that Chiu learned of material information in 2025, prompting her to take legal action.

The criminal complaint against Lakambini remains pending before the proper authorities, Star Magic said.
