Angeles City showcases Kapampangan Cuisine at Kusina Kuliat

Kapampangan culinary heritage took center stage at the Kusina Kuliat Culinarium at Museo Ning Angeles, featuring the Pamangan Fiestang Kapampangan as part of the Fiestang Kuliat 2026 celebration.

Mayor Carmelo “Jon” B. Lazatin II led the ribbon-cutting ceremony with organizers, chefs, culinary partners and other stakeholders, highlighting the city government’s support for initiatives promoting local food, culture, heritage and tourism.

With the support of the Angeles City Tourism Office, more than 60 food establishments participated, bringing together chefs, food entrepreneurs, cultural advocates, Angeleños and visitors to showcase traditional dishes, local products and contemporary interpretations of Kapampangan cuisine.

The event was led by the Kuliat Foundation, Inc. and Museo Ning Angeles, with the aim of preserving and promoting recipes, culinary techniques, stories and traditions passed from one generation to the next.

Organizers emphasized that food serves not only as nourishment but also as a reflection of memory, identity and culture. Through culinary heritage activities, Kapampangan cuisine is given space to evolve while remaining rooted in its traditions.

The celebration also highlighted the role of food in tourism by giving visitors and residents an opportunity to experience Angeles City’s culture through its flavors, ingredients and culinary traditions.
