Tarlac City Mayor Susan Yap ordered continued close monitoring of the Aquino Bridge and other potentially affected areas to ensure the safety of residents and motorists amid the current situation.

Yap said personnel from the DPWH, PNP, BFP, PDRRMO, CDRRMO, POSO, CEO, GSO and CENRO remain on alert and in coordination for any possible additional damage or hazards.

Authorities are also monitoring a hole discovered in Cutcut First to prevent it from posing further danger to motorists and residents.

Yap urged Tarlaqueños to remain cautious and follow advisories from authorities, stressing that the safety of residents remains the city government’s top priority.
