Mabalacat City Mayor Geld Aquino and Vice Mayor Jun Castro personally checked on residents who evacuated to temporary shelters amid continued rains brought by the Southwest Monsoon or Habagat.

The two officials assessed the condition of the evacuees, checked their immediate needs and ensured that they were properly accommodated in the evacuation centers.

The city government also prepared sleeping kits for the displaced residents as it continued its response efforts to ensure the safety and welfare of communities affected by the weather disturbance.
