The Angeles City government is strengthening its juvenile justice and child protection efforts through the Local Council for the Protection of Children (LCPC) and the City Social Welfare and Development Office (CSWDO) under Mayor Carmelo “Jon” Lazatin II.
A three-day seminar-workshop on the formulation of the Comprehensive Barangay Juvenile Intervention Program (CBJIP) and Comprehensive Local Juvenile Intervention Program (CLJIP) for 2026–2028 was held on September 8–10 at Century Hotel in Balibago.
Representatives from all 33 barangays participated in the activity, which focused on developing programs for the prevention, intervention, rehabilitation, and reintegration of Children at Risk (CAR) and Children in Conflict with the Law (CICL).
The workshop also featured technical expertise from Imelda E. Yumul of the Regional Juvenile Justice and Welfare Committee (RJJWC)-DSWD Field Office III and Atty. John Angel Bautista, Attorney IV of the Commission on Human Rights Regional Office III.
The initiative aims to promote responsive, child-centered and community-based programs that protect children’s rights, welfare and future while supporting their positive reintegration into their families and communities.
