Cash remittances sent home by overseas Filipinos reached US$3.24 billion in July 2026, up 1.9 percent from the US$3.18 billion recorded in July 2025, according to the Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas (BSP).

The United States remained the top source of cash remittance inflows, followed by Singapore and Saudi Arabia, based on reported remittance transactions by origin.

The BSP also reported an increase in seasonally adjusted personal remittances in July. These include cash sent through banks and informal channels, as well as remittances in kind, indicating stronger underlying remittance activity after accounting for seasonal patterns.

For the January-July 2026 period, both cash and personal remittances also posted growth.

The BSP said the continued increase in remittance inflows supported household consumption and domestic economic activity, highlighting the resilience of remittances as an important source of household income and external financing for the Philippine economy.
