The Bases Conversion and Development Authority (BCDA) is inviting more South Korean companies to explore investment opportunities in the Philippines and contribute to the country’s next phase of development.
Speaking at the Global Infrastructure Cooperation Conference 2026 in Seoul, BCDA Vice President for Legislative and Executive Liaison Office Patrick Roehl C. Francisco highlighted South Korea’s contribution to Philippine development through knowledge-sharing, technology, resources and investments.
Francisco noted that Korean partners are already involved in several BCDA initiatives. The Korea Overseas Infrastructure and Urban Development Corporation (KIND) is participating in mixed-use, smart city and affordable housing projects in New Clark City, while K-Water has shared expertise and best practices in smart and sustainable water and wastewater management.
Building on these partnerships, BCDA is seeking to expand opportunities for Korean companies to invest in the Philippines, bring in their expertise and support the development of the country’s next-generation cities.
“We already have the momentum. We hope to see more Korean firms come on board and contribute to the Philippines’ next chapter of growth,” Francisco said.
The initiative underscores BCDA’s continuing efforts to strengthen international partnerships and attract investments that support sustainable urban development and economic growth in the Philippines.
