The Tarlac City Government has signed a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) with the Philippine Amusement and Gaming Corporation (PAGCOR) for the construction of a new 12-classroom PAGCOR School Building at Sapang Maragul Integrated School.

Mayor Susan Yap thanked PAGCOR and Chairman Alejandro Tengco for the assistance, which is expected to help address the shortage of classrooms in the school.

Yap said the project is part of PAGCOR and the national government’s program to help ease classroom shortages in schools across the country under the administration of President Ferdinand Marcos Jr.

Also present during the signing was Department of Education Secretary Sonny Angara, who joined in recognizing the 66 local government beneficiaries and reaffirming the partnership among DepEd, PAGCOR and local government units in supporting the country’s education sector.

The new school building is expected to provide additional learning spaces for students in Sapang Maragul and contribute to efforts to improve access to adequate school facilities.
