From Local Products to Local Identity

The Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) Pampanga, through the Negosyo Center Floridablanca, capped the OTOP Philippines Pasantingan 2026 Product Development and Municipal Branding Program with its final phase on September 17 at the Floridablanca Municipal Hall.

Four local MSMEs —Mr. M Handsewn Leather Crafts and Leather Works, Jarvey Food Processing, Solo Parent Credit Cooperative, and Mel Job Handicrafts — presented their final product designs and prototypes developed under the program.

The improved designs focused on enhancing the products’ functionality, presentation, market appeal and competitiveness, giving the participating enterprises stronger tools to bring their local products to the market.

The activity also featured the Municipal Branding Presentation for Floridablanca, attended by key local government representatives, including BPLO heads, the OIC Tourism Officer, Municipal Administrator, and representatives from the Municipal Planning and Development Office.

The presentation explored a unified municipal identity highlighting Floridablanca’s culture, tourism potential, local products, community assets and distinct character.

Through Pasantingan, DTI Pampanga and the Floridablanca LGU continue to support local MSMEs while strengthening product development, branding, tourism promotion and enterprise competitiveness — turning local products into stronger opportunities and a stronger sense of place.
