The documentary ‘A Place to Belong’, created by young Filipino filmmakers Reyniela Tugay, Dominic John Manalo, and Angel Jhos Supan, was screened at the PLURAL+ Youth Video Festival of the United Nations Alliance of Civilizations (UNAOC) in New York, USA, on October 9.
Vice Governor Delta recognized the young filmmakers after Tugay presented the certificates they received for their work, which was selected from 450 submissions representing 80 countries. Their documentary, representing the Philippines, tackles bullying and highlights issues affecting young people.
The recognition highlights the role of young filmmakers in using storytelling and creative expression to raise awareness about bullying and promote solutions to challenges faced by the youth.
