Singapore-based AG&P Group is exploring liquefied natural gas (LNG)-powered generation and digital infrastructure projects in New Clark City to support industrial growth and attract investments to the Luzon Economic Corridor.
The Bases Conversion and Development Authority (BCDA) and AG&P signed a memorandum of understanding on October 14 to study a proposed LNG corridor connecting Subic to New Clark City in Tarlac, alongside potential digital infrastructure projects for advanced manufacturing and artificial intelligence industries.
The proposed LNG-fired power plant may be developed in phases, with target capacities of 100 megawatts by 2027 and 300 MW by 2029. Expansion to 1 to 3 gigawatts beginning in 2031 may also be considered, subject to demand, feasibility studies, and regulatory approvals.

The partnership will also assess the feasibility of virtual and physical pipelines to transport LNG from Subic to New Clark City, as well as digital infrastructure to support future industrial and technology locators.
BCDA President and CEO Joshua M. Bingcang said reliable energy and digital infrastructure are essential to attracting investments and creating jobs. AG&P Group CEO Karthik Sathyamoorthy likewise emphasized the importance of dependable power in developing New Clark City as an advanced manufacturing hub.
The proposed projects support efforts to position the Luzon Economic Corridor as a hub for advanced manufacturing and digital innovation.
