Actor Epy Quizon took to social media to commend a Grab driver who went the extra mile to return his misplaced mobile phone, describing the experience as a reminder that “good people are still everywhere.”
In an Instagram post, Quizon shared that he accidentally left his phone inside the vehicle driven by Jhun Diaz after being dropped off.
According to the actor, neither of them had a way to contact the other. Instead of leaving the area, Diaz waited nearby in the hope that Quizon would eventually realize his phone was missing.
Nearly three hours later, Quizon noticed the loss. His daughter, Misha, and his partner, Mapet, called the phone, which Diaz answered before returning to the area to hand it back.
“What I’ll remember most wasn’t just that he gave my phone back—it was the smile on his face. There was no annoyance, no irritation about the inconvenience. Just genuine happiness that he could help,” Quizon wrote.
The actor thanked Diaz for his honesty and kindness, saying, “Acts of honesty like this deserve to be celebrated. Thank you, Mr. Jhun Diaz, for your kindness, integrity, and compassion. People like you restore our faith in humanity.”
