Affected families temporarily sheltered at Balibago Barangay Hall

Several families affected by the collapse of a building in Angeles City on Sunday, May 24, have been transferred to the Barangay Balibago Hall to provide them with a safer and more organized temporary shelter while relief operations continue in the city.

The Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) is currently conducting profiling and assessment activities at the evacuation site to determine the condition of the affected residents and identify additional interventions and support needed.

DSWD personnel, including the agency’s “Angels in Red Vests” and FO 3-Central Luzon Regional Director Venus Rebuldela, have also been providing emotional support and assistance to help ease the fears and anxiety experienced by the displaced families following the incident.

The DSWD assured the public that the distribution of relief kits and cash assistance for affected residents will continue in the coming days, in line with the directive of President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr.
