Angeles City Mayor Carmelo “Jon” Lazatin II continues to personally lead the coordination and management of the ongoing search and rescue operations at the collapsed under-construction building along Teodoro Street in Balibago, Angeles City.

Serving as Responsible Officer (RO) of the Incident Command System (ICS), Mayor Jon has remained at the incident site since early morning following the activation of the ICS to ensure proper coordination among concerned agencies and the immediate response to operational needs on the ground.

The mayor has been closely coordinating and holding meetings with the Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP), Angeles City Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (ACDRRMO), Angeles City Police Office (ACPO), City Social Welfare and Development Office (CSWDO), and various national government agencies to maintain continuous, organized, and swift rescue operations.

The Unified Command System has also been conducting regular briefings and updates to keep the public informed about the latest developments and response efforts related to the incident.
