The Angeles City Government, under the leadership of Mayor Carmelo “Jon” Lazatin II, received a Highly Functional Rating from the DILG Region III under the Highly Urbanized City category for its Local Committee on Anti-Trafficking and Violence Against Women and Their Children (LCAT-VAWC).

The recognition highlights the city’s strong commitment to protecting women, children, and other vulnerable sectors through responsive programs and services.

City officials attributed the achievement to effective coordination between the local government and partner agencies in implementing initiatives aimed at preventing trafficking, abuse, and violence within the community.
