Senior Angeleños are gaining practical skills in using modern technology through the Senior Digital Literacy Academy, an initiative aimed at helping older residents stay connected, informed and safe online.

With the support of Mayor Carmelo “Jon” B. Lazatin II and through the Office for Senior Citizens Affairs (OSCA)–Angeles City, the city government continues to provide senior citizens with opportunities to learn and adapt to the digital age.

The training introduces participants to the practical use of smartphones and tablets, as well as responsible and safe use of social media.

Among the key topics are digital device navigation and social media safety, including protecting personal information, exercising caution in online interactions, and carefully evaluating information encountered or shared online.

As more services, communication channels and information move into the digital space, the program aims to help senior citizens navigate technology with greater confidence while remaining connected, informed and protected online.
