Chief Adviser IC Calaguas, Executive Assistant IV Reina Manuel and some department heads held a meeting on April 13 to discuss Reyna de las Flores, an inter-barangay competition that will showcase the beauty, elegance and confidence of Angeleña beauties.
During the meeting, the flow and parade route of Reyna delas Flores was mapped out. This is the first-ever Reyna de las Flores or Queen of Flowers tilt to be hosted by Mayor Carmelo “Pogi” Lazatin, Jr. and the city government.
The winner will take home the grand cash prize of ₱100,000. Gowns crafted by local designers will be featured in the ‘Santacruzan’ parade, which is one of the highlights of the celebration.
Mayor Lazatin said that the festival will be an avenue for Angeleños to showcase their designs. It is also a perfect vehicle to promote the flower industry of Angeles City.
Present during the meeting are Gender and Development Officer Mina Cabiles, Information and Communication Technology Division Chief Michael Lising, City Nutrition Officer Jermaine Jam Aguila, Angeles City Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Officer Rudy Simeon, Angeles City Economic Development and Investment Promotions Officer Irish Bonus-Llego, Angeles City Traffic Development Office Chief of Operations Jong Baniqued, Dong Mendiola, and organizer Rommel ‘Poklong’ Guina.
