The Angeles City Government officially launched the 52nd National Nutrition Month celebration during its flag ceremony on July 6, led by Mayor Carmelo “Jon” Lazatin II, together with the City Council and the City Nutrition Office.
The opening also featured the launch of the Luntiang Likha exhibit by Barangay Nutrition Scholars (BNS) at the City Hall Parking Grounds, showcasing nutritious and locally produced food items, including fresh fruits and vegetables, camote brownies, kangkong chips, dayap, and other community-made products.
The month-long celebration carries the theme, “Nutrisyon at Kalikasan, Ating Pangalagaan,” promoting healthy living while encouraging environmental stewardship.
City officials also urged Angeleños to support local farmers, micro-entrepreneurs, and Barangay Nutrition Scholars by choosing fresh, nutritious, and locally produced food to help improve family health and strengthen the local economy.
