The Angeles City Social Welfare and Development Office (CSWDO) conducted a reach-out operation on September 21, 2026, covering areas around Walking Street, Friendship Terminal, SM Clark and Sto. Rosario as part of the city government’s continuing child protection and social welfare efforts.

The operation, conducted with the support of Mayor Carmelo “Jon” B. Lazatin II, reached 17 individuals, including 13 minors and four adults.

Those encountered during the operation were given an orientation on the Anti-Mendicancy Law. Five minors—four boys and one girl—and two adults—one man and one woman—were issued warnings and appropriate reminders.

Eight minors who required further assessment and intervention were referred to Kanlungan ng Kabataan for processing and appropriate social welfare services.

One adult was also referred to Barangay Balibago after being found using rugby, for appropriate intervention and assistance.

The operation was carried out in coordination with the CSWDO, the Women and Children Protection Unit (WCPU) of the Philippine National Police (PNP), and ACTIVE staff.

The city government said such reach-out activities aim to connect individuals, particularly children, with appropriate protection, guidance and social services while promoting community safety.
