The Mabalacat City government, led by Mayor Atty. Geld Aquino, extended financial and relief assistance to 26 families in Barangay Tabun who lost their homes after strong currents brought by the southwest monsoon, or Habagat, swept away their houses.

Each affected family received ₱10,000 in financial assistance and a family food pack to help support their recovery.

Aquino was joined in the distribution by Vice Mayor Jun Castro, Councilors Pat Acorda and Benny Jocson, and Tabun Barangay Captain Danilo De De Leon.

The mayor also directed the City Planning and Development Office, headed by Rosan Paquia, to identify a suitable relocation site for the affected families to provide them with safer and more secure housing.

The City Social Welfare and Development Office (CSWDO), led by Ms. Josephine Tanglao, also assisted in the relief distribution.
