BCDA stands strong with quake-hit families

The Bases Conversion and Development Authority (BCDA) extended humanitarian assistance to residents of Barangay Apopong in General Santos City following the recent 7.8-magnitude earthquake.

BCDA volunteers led by Vice President for Public Affairs Leilani Macasaet distributed tent materials and 20-liter containers of drinking water, benefiting some 1,000 families. Barangay Captain Jose Paulo Natividad and the Barangay Council facilitated the relief distribution.

The effort brings BCDA’s ‘Tabang at Kalinga’ CSR Relief Initiative to 2,000 earthquake-affected families. The initiative, conducted with the 10th Infantry ‘Agila’ Division of the Philippine Army, supports the Marcos administration’s call for a united disaster response.
