BCDA, Tarlac partners train Bamban women in meat processing

Women from various barangays in Bamban, Tarlac gained practical livelihood skills through a one-day meat processing seminar held at New Clark City.

The training was hosted by the Bases Conversion and Development Authority (BCDA) in partnership with the Municipal Social Welfare and Development Office (MSWDO) of Bamban and the Public Employment Service Office (PESO) of the Provincial Government of Tarlac.

Members of Mothers Club, Inc., a grassroots association of Bambanense women, participated in the skills training aimed at helping them turn practical culinary knowledge into potential sources of household income.

Participant Mary Ann Bernaldez described the seminar as useful for mothers seeking additional livelihood opportunities.

“Napakauseful po itong binigay na livelihood training seminar sa aming mga nanay dahil magagamit namin ito sa kabuhayan namin,” Bernaldez said.

The initiative forms part of the BCDA and its partners’ efforts to promote economic inclusion by providing community members, particularly women, with practical and market-ready skills.

Through programs such as the meat processing seminar, participants are given opportunities to strengthen their self-reliance, explore additional income sources, and build greater financial resilience within their households and communities.
