The Bureau of Customs (BOC) – Port of Clark strengthened its partnership with industry stakeholders through its 3rd Quarter Customs Industry Consultative and Advisory Council (CICAC) Meeting, bringing together representatives from FedEx, UPS, ASPAC Philippines, Clark International Airport Corp. (CIAC), PDEA Region III, and the Bases Conversion and Development Authority (BCDA).

Industry partners raised operational concerns involving the disposal of abandoned shipments, transshipment, and export processes. Through the CICAC, these concerns may be elevated to concerned BOC offices for discussion and possible practical solutions that could also benefit other ports facing similar challenges.

District Collector Jairus S. Reyes underscored the importance of listening directly to stakeholders in improving Customs services.

“We value our stakeholders as partners in improving Customs services. Through open and candid dialogue, we better understand their concerns and work together toward solutions that make our processes more responsive and efficient,” Reyes said.

The initiative supports Customs Commissioner Ariel F. Nepomuceno’s directive to promote a more customer-oriented BOC, with stakeholder feedback serving as an important tool in continuously improving trade facilitation and service delivery.
