Cebu Pacific has added another Airbus A320neo to its fleet as part of its continuing fleet modernization program, further increasing its share of newer-generation aircraft.
The aircraft was delivered to Manila from Airbus’ facility in Tianjin, China on September 11, marking the third of four A320neo aircraft scheduled for delivery to the airline this year.
With the latest addition, NEO aircraft now account for 77 percent of Cebu Pacific’s jet fleet. The airline expects to receive a total of seven NEO aircraft in 2026.
Cebu Pacific President and Chief Commercial Officer Xander Lao said the new aircraft will provide greater flexibility across the airline’s network while supporting its efforts to operate more fuel-efficient aircraft and keep air travel accessible to more Filipinos.
Compared with previous-generation aircraft, NEO aircraft use 15 to 20 percent less fuel per flight and generate significantly less noise, helping reduce carbon emissions and support more sustainable operations.
Cebu Pacific currently operates 14 Airbus A330s, 27 Airbus A321s, 38 Airbus A320s, and 20 ATR turboprop aircraft, supporting its extensive domestic and international network.
