Cebu Pacific has reminded passengers traveling with musical instruments to comply with its baggage policies, noting that instruments exceeding the airline’s standard hand-carry size allowance may be accommodated through its CEB Special Baggage service.
In a statement, the airline said passengers may purchase CEB Special Baggage during the booking process through the Cebu Pacific mobile app. Musical instruments checked in as baggage must be packed in hard-shell cases to ensure adequate protection during transport.
The airline said instruments placed in soft cases or gig bags cannot be accepted for check-in because they do not provide sufficient protection against damage.
Aside from musical instruments, CEB Special Baggage also covers items such as sports equipment, surfboards, religious items, and balikbayan boxes.
