City College of Angeles (CCA) has achieved a major academic milestone after its BS Tourism Management program was awarded a 5-Star International Center of Excellence in Events Management by the Asia Pacific Institute for Events Management (APIEM).

The distinction marks a historic first, making CCA the only local college in the Philippines and the Asia-Pacific region to receive the prestigious five-star rating from APIEM.

With the recognition, CCA joins a select group of higher education institutions in the country that have earned the same rating, including Lyceum of the Philippines University, Leyte Normal University, Panpacific University, and Joji Ilagan International School of Hospitality Management.

CCA officials said the award affirms the institution’s commitment to delivering globally competitive education in tourism and events management, highlighting its strong alignment with industry standards, innovative teaching approaches, and outcomes-based programs.

They added that the recognition reinforces the college’s vision of becoming a leading institution both locally and in the international academic community.
