Pampanga First District Representative Carmelo “Pogi” Lazatin Jr. led the distribution of five kilos of rice each to members of the Mawaque Orange TODA and Dau Plaza TODA as part of a wider assistance program for transport workers in Angeles City, Mabalacat City, and Magalang.

Cong Pogi and his staff are set to visit tricycle and jeepney terminals across the three areas to distribute rice assistance to 17,074 members of various Tricycle Operators and Drivers Associations (TODA) and 2,555 members of Jeepney Operators and Drivers Associations (JODA).

The congressman recognizes the important role of the transport sector in supporting the continuous growth of local communities by providing daily transportation services to workers and commuters.

The rice distribution has been a long-standing tradition of Lazatin since his time as mayor of Angeles City, serving as his personal gesture of appreciation to tricycle and jeepney drivers.
