Newly appointed DOLE Acting Secretary Francis Tolentino visited the retrieval operations site at the collapsed building in Barangay Balibago, Angeles City on Wednesday morning together with Pampanga First District Congressman Carmelo ‘Pogi’ Lazatin Jr.. Also at the site is Angeles City Mayor and Responsible Official Carmelo ‘Jon’ Lazatin II.
During the visit, the officials monitored the ongoing retrieval efforts and assessed the situation on the ground following the collapse of the under-construction building.
Congressman Lazatin also spoke with a business owner whose establishment was affected by the incident.
Authorities continue to oversee retrieval and clearing operations at the site as responders work under the Unified Command System.
