TARLAC CITY — Better road connectivity and faster travel are on the horizon as the expansion of the Luisita SCTEX Interchange pushes forward, bringing new infrastructure that promises to benefit motorists and businesses alike.

A joint effort by the Bases Conversion and Development Authority (BCDA), the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH), and NLEX Corporation, the project will soon open the northbound lanes of the interchange. This development adds new entry and exit ramps to complement the current southbound access, aimed at improving the overall traffic flow.

Once completed, the expanded interchange will enhance SCTEX’s direct link to major economic zones in Central Luzon — including New Clark City, Subic Bay Freeport, and Clark Freeport Zone — while also providing better access to Tarlac’s urban areas and easing congestion along the MacArthur Highway.

BCDA President and CEO Joshua Bingcang, together with Tarlac Governor Christian Tell Yap, Vice Governor Lita Aquino, and BCDA Vice President for Strategic Projects Management Randy Viacrusis, visited the project site earlier today to inspect progress and discuss the next phases of implementation.
