Faith in humanity restored

Environmental Management System (EMS) staff member Jerome Macalino restored a lost wallet containing money intended for a family’s electricity bill, giving an Angeleño a reason to believe in honesty and kindness.

Macalino found the wallet belonging to Marben Butron during a rainy day and immediately turned it over to the City Information Office to help locate its owner.

Butron was grateful to recover the wallet and the money he needed for his family’s utility payment.

For Macalino, returning something that does not belong to him is simply the right thing to do. His simple act of honesty served as a reminder that integrity and compassion remain alive in the community.

“Kapag hindi sa’yo, kailangan mo isauli sa may-ari,” Macalino said, urging fellow Angeleños to return lost belongings to their rightful owners.
