The Floridablanca municipal government convened an inter-agency meeting to assess the damage caused by recent heavy rains and flooding brought by the southwest monsoon (Habagat) and fast-track recovery efforts in affected communities.
The meeting brought together members of the Sangguniang Bayan, department and unit heads, and representatives from the National Irrigation Administration (NIA), Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH), Department of Health (DOH), uniformed personnel, and other concerned agencies.
Officials discussed immediate interventions for damaged roads, bridges, irrigation facilities, drainage systems, and other infrastructure, as well as areas requiring clearing, repair, rehabilitation, and other assistance.
The local government and concerned agencies also laid out a coordinated action plan to ensure that all reported damage is assessed, urgent needs are addressed, and necessary interventions are implemented promptly.
The municipal government said monitoring and coordination will continue until the agreed measures are completed to help ensure the safety and welfare of Floridablanca residents.
