Philippine Airlines (PAL) has strengthened its long-haul fleet with the arrival of its fourth Airbus A350-1000, further boosting the flag carrier’s international operations and commitment to world-class travel.
Registered RP-C3513, the aircraft landed at Ninoy Aquino International Airport at 7:22 p.m. on September 2 following its delivery flight from Airbus’ center in Toulouse, France.
The new A350-1000 is the fourth of nine aircraft ordered by PAL in 2023 as part of its fleet modernization and international expansion program. PAL remains the first and only airline in Southeast Asia to operate the A350-1000.
Configured with 382 seats in three classes, the aircraft features private Business Class suites with sliding privacy doors, a dedicated Premium Economy cabin, and an enhanced Economy Class product designed for greater comfort on long-haul flights.
Beyond passenger comfort, the A350-1000 offers improved fuel efficiency, reduced carbon emissions, and enhanced operational performance over previous-generation aircraft.
PAL is also preparing for further fleet expansion. During the Farnborough International Airshow in June, the airline signed memoranda of understanding for nine additional A350-1000s, with purchase rights for five more, and 15 Boeing 787-10 Dreamliners, with options for five additional aircraft. Deliveries are planned through 2036.
The A350-1000 currently serves key PAL international routes, including San Francisco, New York, and Toronto, supporting the airline’s mission of connecting the Philippines to the world while showcasing Filipino hospitality.
