Globe pours ₱26.3B into Network

Stronger connectivity, better customer experience

Globe invested ₱26.3 billion in capital expenditures in the first half of 2026, up 39% year-on-year, to strengthen its network, digital infrastructure, and customer experience nationwide.

About 91% of the spending went to data-related initiatives, including network capacity, service quality, and digital infrastructure. The company also accelerated its 5G rollout, achieving more than 98% outdoor population coverage across Metro Manila and key cities in the Visayas and Mindanao, while reaching at least 80% of the population in non-key cities nationwide.

Globe President and CEO Carl Cruz said the investments aim not only to expand capacity but also to deliver reliable, high-quality connectivity to more Filipinos and help bridge the digital divide.

The investments have also supported Globe’s consecutive network recognitions, including four straight awards for Most Consistent Mobile Provider, two consecutive recognitions for Widest Mobile 5G Coverage, and two for Most Consistent Home Internet based on Ookla Speedtest Intelligence data.

Globe said it remains on track to keep its full-year capital expenditures below US$1 billion, balancing network expansion with disciplined capital allocation.
