Globe’s Hapag Movement, a nationwide initiative aimed at addressing involuntary hunger, won two honors at the Marketing Interactive PR Asia Awards in Singapore.
The program received a Silver Award for Best CSR Program for its holistic approach combining meal support, livelihood opportunities, and nutrition education. Globe’s Sustainability and Corporate Communications Group also earned a Bronze Award for Best PR by an In-House Communications Team for leading the movement’s nationwide communications efforts.
Launched in 2022, the Hapag Movement combines supplemental feeding with livelihood training and nutrition education, in partnership with nonprofit organizations. Its initiatives include technical-vocational training, urban gardening, baking, wellness programs, plastic upcycling, and agricultural technology training.
The program’s goal of helping 100,000 Filipino families has surpassed expectations, with more than 150,000 families reached in 2025. Since its launch, over 1.2 million Globe and TM subscribers have also donated through Rewards points.
Among its reported achievements are improving early education attendance in Basilan through school feeding, providing meals to families in hunger hotspots, and supporting farmers and rural communities through livelihood and agricultural programs.
Globe said the Hapag Movement is entering its next phase with a stronger focus on addressing malnutrition and reducing child stunting, working with NGO partners to help build healthier futures for Filipino families.
