Ground Zero operations continue despite the rains

Search, rescue, retrieval, and clearing operations at the collapse site in Barangay Balibago, Angeles City continued despite intermittent rains, with responders maintaining efforts under the Unified Command System.

Emergency personnel and heavy equipment operators remained deployed at the site as the careful removal of debris and rubble progressed. Authorities continue to prioritize the safety of all personnel while carrying out the operation.

According to the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) team on the ground, approximately 30 percent of the debris and rubble at the collapse site has already been cleared.

The ongoing operation is being supported by continuous assessment and close coordination among various government agencies to ensure the safe and orderly conduct of search, retrieval, and clearing activities.

Authorities said operations will continue as efforts remain focused on thoroughly clearing the site and supporting the overall response and recovery process.
