HVI, 2 others nabbed in ₱2.29-M Mabalacat drug bust

A high-value individual (HVI) and two other suspects were arrested in an anti-illegal drug operation in Mabalacat City on August 26, 2026, resulting in the seizure of suspected illegal drugs worth around ₱2.29 million, according to the Police Regional Office 3.

The operation was conducted at The Sharp Clarkhills along Macapagal Village after the target reportedly changed the agreed meeting place from Friendship Gate in Barangay Anunas, Angeles City.

Police operatives adjusted to the change and proceeded to the new location, where the transaction took place at about 3:30 p.m. Three suspects, including the HVI, were arrested, while a Korean national reportedly escaped and is the subject of continuing follow-up operations.

Among the items recovered were:

  • Suspected ecstasy tablets
  • Suspected ketamine
  • Marijuana vape cartridges
  • KPODS containing suspected liquid ketamine
  • A bottle of suspected “Happy Water”

The operation was led by PS4, ACPO, with support from various police units, including CIU-ACPO, CDEU-ACPO, RID-RSOG, RDEU 3, Mabalacat CPS, Pampanga PPO, and RIU 3.

PRO3 Regional Director PBGen Jess B. Mendez said the operation underscored the importance of intelligence-driven and coordinated efforts in keeping illegal drugs away from communities.

The arrested suspects and recovered evidence were brought to PS4, ACPO for documentation and proper disposition. Charges under Republic Act No. 9165, or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002, are being prepared.

Follow-up operations are underway to locate the remaining suspect and identify other individuals who may be linked to the illegal drug activity.
