JON LAZATIN UNVEILS PLAN TO ADDRESS ENVIRONMENTAL FEE ISSUE

First District Representative and mayoral candidate Carmelo “Jon” Lazatin II has outlined a plan to address concerns regarding the environmental fee issue, a topic raised by his political opponents during the ongoing campaign period.

In a recent caucus held at Barangay Agapito del Rosario, Lazatin acknowledged criticisms about his perceived lack of action, stating that as he is not yet mayor, he does not currently have the authority to implement policies.
“Ang sinasabi ng mga naninira, wala pa namang nagawa ‘yang si Jon bilang mayor sa Angeles. Tama naman po sila, dahil hindi pa naman po ako mayor,” Lazatin said.

He added that while he has no executive power yet, he has been consulting with constituents and studying the concerns raised, particularly regarding the environmental fee.
“I understand the importance of addressing this issue, and I have a plan ready to resolve it,” Lazatin said.

Lazatin’s proposed plan includes legal and sustainable measures aimed at improving environmental programs in the city. He emphasized that listening to the people is a key step in shaping effective policies.

The caucus, attended by residents despite inclement weather, highlighted Lazatin’s efforts to directly engage with voters ahead of the upcoming elections.
