Women embody resilience, silently carrying the weight of their homes and communities while forging paths forward. As primary caregivers, leaders, and changemakers, they are an undeniable force. Since 2019, the InLife Sheroes Advocacy and Movement (InLife Sheroes) has championed this strength, turning women’s voices into a resounding call for change across four pillars: financial literacy, health and wellness, women-specific solutions, and access to social and business networks.

On March 12, InLife Sheroes celebrated its 6th anniversary with 𝐋𝐢𝐟𝐞, 𝐂𝐚𝐦𝐞𝐫𝐚, 𝐀𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧: 𝐒𝐡𝐞𝐫𝐨𝐞𝐬 𝐢𝐧 𝐌𝐨𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 at the Insular Life Corporate Centre in Muntinlupa City. The event also marked the inaugural 𝐈𝐧𝐋𝐢𝐟𝐞 𝐒𝐡𝐞𝐫𝐨𝐞𝐬 𝐀𝐰𝐚𝐫𝐝𝐬, honoring women whose courage, commitment, and advocacy are shaping a better future.

For over two decades, Atty. Nelisa Guevara-Garcia has dedicated herself to the law, including 15 years focused on rescuing children from online sexual exploitation. As Director of National Prosecution Development for the International Justice Mission (IJM) Philippines, she crafts sustainable prosecution strategies to ensure justice for vulnerable children.
“Children are my primary clients,” she shares. *”You can’t just pick an advocacy at random—it must be something you’re willing to commit your life to.”
Her work has led to landmark convictions, including cases reaching the Supreme Court, but for Atty. Garcia, true success lies in the transformation of survivors.
“I share this award with every woman and child who found the courage to move from victim to survivor,” she says.

From corporate life to community empowerment, Marge Aviso took a leap of faith. Leaving a high-pressure career to raise her son, she founded TeleworkPH, a BPO company bringing online work to rural communities like Bulacan and Bohol. She also co-founded Salig AI, a platform for freelancers, and leads Global Impact Productions.
Facing skepticism and doubt, Marge pushed through.
“If there’s a dream planted in you, it’s there for a reason,” she says. “Even if it’s scary, faith will keep you moving.”
Her advocacy now extends to breaking stereotypes about Filipinas in technology.
“We need more women in AI, blockchain, the metaverse. These are the technologies shaping our future—and we must take our place in it.”

Actress and singer Antoinette Taus has long used her platform for good. She founded CORA (Communities Organized for Resource Allocation) and The Sustainable Planet, championing environmental protection and creating livelihoods for women and vulnerable communities.
“One small action can create ripples that last for generations,” Antoinette says. “Start where you are, with what you have.”
Through CORA, she uplifts grassroots champions—from fisherfolk restoring mangroves to women leading zero-waste initiatives. Her mother Cora’s passion for service continues to inspire her mission today.
“Everyone has the power to be a shero or hero—your life, your story, can change the lives of many.”

At the heart of InLife Sheroes is Executive Chairperson Nina D. Aguas, who reflected on the movement’s exponential growth—from an initial goal of reaching one million women in three years to impacting over ten million lives in six.
“For too long, women were unheard—not because they had nothing to say, but because no one was listening,”* Nina said. “InLife Sheroes has changed that. When women find their voice, they find their power.”
Today, Nina’s dream has expanded: to inspire one million men to actively support women—amplifying the movement for real, lasting change.

The anniversary event was made even more memorable by performances from singer-actress Bituin Escalante, young New York-based talent Dominique Aguas Alvarez, and a moving theater piece by the hilippine Educational Theater Association, spotlighting empowered women whose lives were transformed by InLife Sheroes.
Before the evening closed, InLife Sheroes made a powerful collective pledge:
“To hold space for ourselves and each other—a safe, brave space to turn inspiration into action, and create the change we envision.”
Because at InLife Sheroes, life isn’t about waiting. It’s about stepping into the spotlight, embracing the moment, and moving forward—together.
